I've been looking at roots for my bag
As the bag is to show that Sainsburys is
Fresh
Tasty
Simple

The idea is that Sainsburys has its roots
Sainburys tending to the roots
so for primary research I took photos of a plant and roots.

But I think these postcards need a theme.This came up in my crit.

This is my final piece
a iconic piece of graphic design I decided to manipulate the meaning of the map. I changed it to a decorative piece with a homemade feel.

I have been sent an e-mail to actually have it there dublin gallery show!

Hi Claire - the piece looks great. I cant help imagine that it is probably even better in real life! would you be interested in having it displayed as part of the installation section of the show?

We are constructing a 'living room' in film base - this is were we plan to display the smaller installation, I think your submission would work well here.

About Windows of Opportunity in 2009

York Museums Trust, supported by Visit York, are piloting an innovative digital design programme to address the visual impact of empty shops in York city centre.

The scheme will look to dress empty shop windows with external, high quality vinyls which will feature contemporary digital designs that respond to their setting.

Designers are encouraged to submit digital images on the theme of ‘Windows of Opportunity in 2009’, reacting positively to the changing world and looking to the future. We are looking for work that is new, contemporary and forward thinking.

Two specific sites in the city centre have been selected for this pilot and so two designs will be selected from all submissions to feature on these windows as part of the launch of this initiative. The designers will be credited on the windows – a fantastic way to exhibit your work to the world!
